Dracula, played by an uncredited caucasian, was shipwrecked in the 1600s in Japan, when Christianity was illegal. He was forced to spit on the cross and wander alone in the desert. Upon finding himself bleeding, he was so thirsty he drank the blood and acquired a taste for it, attacking local teenager Keiko. In present day, Professor Shiraki arrives at a girl's school where he was to be teaching, but now the principal, whose wife died in a car accident, wants Shiraki to take over for him. The principal is keeping his wife in the cellar for a week, supposedly according to local custom, to see if she might return to life. Immediately suspicious, Shiraki investigates and becomes entrenched in horror of the vampires. Three girls are caught up too, as one has already been bitten, and her roomates stay to care for her.

Baron Latos appears to Dr. Edelman in the middle of the night and reveals that he's really Count Dracula. He seeks a cure for his vampirism. A trip to the basement shows that Dracula has already taken the liberty of moving in - there's his coffin, filled with the dirt from his own grave. Dr. Edelman takes this brazenness in stride while refusing to believe in the supernatural. Later, Lawrence Talbot shows up, asking for a cure for his lycanthropy. He can't bear to change into a werewolf one more time. Edelman must save Talbot from a suicide attempt when Talbot throws himself into the ocean and gets swept into a cave. While in the cave, Edelman and Talbot find Frankenstein's monster. Edelman decides to revive him, but Talbot and Edelman's hunchbacked female assistant talk him out of it. Meanwhile, Edelman's other assistant finds herself seduced by Count Dracula; while Edelman finds the evil count has an even more powerful influence over his own life.

This is the eighth film in Hammer's Dracula series, and the seventh and final one to feature Christopher Lee as Dracula and the fourth one with Peter Cushing as Van Helsing. This film takes place two years after the events of the previous one. A large headquarter owned by a reclusive personality has been built upon the cemetery where Dracula died in the previous film. Van Helsing is once more approached by the Secret Service after one of their officer gets hold of information regarding elite personalities performing satanic rituals in a mansion located on the outskirts.

After coming back to life from ashes, Dracula once again goes back to his old habits of sucking the blood outta women which causes angry villagers to burn down Dracula's abode unaware that the count is safeguarded in his secret chamber n remains unhurt and at the same time his army of bats has taken revenge on the wives n children of the villagers responsible for the arson. Months later, a flirtatious man falsely accused of rape and after fleeing the city reaches the castle and is welcomed by the Count.

During the night, Alucard that is actually Count Dracula arrives and kills Kathy's father. The family friend Dr. Harry Brewster suspects of the mysterious Alucard and asks information about his family to his friend Prof. Lazlo. Meanwhile Kathy is the heiress of Dark Oaks and she secretly marries the Count Dracula. Frank follows her and accidentally shoots Kathy to death. When Dr. Brewster meets Kathy at home, he realizes that she got married to Dracula and is also a vampire.
