The Heisei era is a term used to identify the previous political era of Japan.
The Heisei series is named after the political Heisei era in Japan, which started in 1989 with the ascension of Emperor Akihito
to the throne and ended in 2019 with his abdication.
Technically, the Millennium and MonsterVerse Godzilla films are also part of the Heisei era due to being released during the political Heisei period,
but are considered to be separate series from the Heisei series due to having separate, distinct continuities.

*19 Godzilla VS Mothera aka Battle For Earth `1992 (1998)
6.10 Rating 100 min Japan is caught in the middle of a three way battle between Godzilla, the divine Mothra and her dark counterpart Battra.
Country: Japan Genre: Sci-Fi, Adventure, Fantasy, Family Release: 1992 Director: Takao Okawara Production: Toho Company Cast: Akira Takarada, Megumi Odaka, Takehiro Murata, Tetsu Watanabe, Satomi Kobayashi, Andrew Smith, Yoshiko Tanaka, Susumu Kurobe, Akiji Kobayashi, Keiko Imamura, Sayaka Osawa, Shinya Ohwada, Hurricane Ryu Hariken, Kenzo Ogiwara, Rik Thomas, Pierre Tremblay, Kenpachirô Satsuma, Kôichi Ueda,
Makoto Ôtake, Tetsuya Bessho, Saburô Shinoda, Shoji Kobashi, Shin Tatsuma, Shiori Yonezawa, Simon Broad
List of changes: -For all times Godzilla's mouth is open and yet no roar sound is heard, the appropriate roar sound effect is added. -Cut the entire "Indiana Jones" homage intro scene in the temple. Instead, after the opening credits, it cuts to the scene where the environmental planning board leaders meet Takuya in prison. The exact crime he committed is never specified, but I don't feel as if it needs to be specifically explained, we just need to know he's a theif. -Cut out the entire part where Takuya refused to help out the environmental planning board. It's unnecessary and doesn't make sense, as even though they leave, he ends up on the expedition anyway (which is just confusing). Now the scene just ends with the environmental planning board leader nodding, implying that Takuya accepts the mission. -Battra's emergence is moved. -Cut the "Shall we land?" line when they are nearing Infant Island. -Cut the scene on Infant Island where they talk about the environment as they look at a wasteland, the bridge scene, and the scene where they travel on a raft. It cuts from them exploring the forest to the campfire scene. -Cut Andoh's line "Are you sure? Several thousand years? Could that be?" and Masako's line "That's hard to believe". We find cave paitings from several thousand years ago all the time, and this is a universe where kaiju are real. Why is this so unbelievable? -Deleted the lines about the Earth being offended and a living thing. Now, the Cosmos say "Scientists created a device to control Earth's climate, so it created the black Mothra". -Cut when the main trio talk about the environment with the Cosmos. After the Cosmos finish their story, Masako asks "Now that Mothra's egg has been exposed, what do you think will happen next?" and the Cosmos talk about Battra. -Cut both "What's happening?!" lines by the environmental planning board leaders, because both are unnecessary and the second one is just REALLY cringey. -Cut the scene with all of the environmentalists protesting against the Marutomo company. It's a pointless scene. Now the scene starts with the president getting a call from Andoh about Mothra's egg. -Battra's awakening, which has been placed after the Cosmos finish talking about Mothra and Battra, replaces the two scenes above. -Cut "Would you look at that, it's huge, isn't it?" line. It's been established multiple times that it's huge, no need to go on and on about it. -Cut the part where the guy on the radio talks about Battra approaching. -Cut "Where is it going to go now?" after Battra burrows away after destroying Nagoya. -Cut the "It's big" line before the line "Something big's approaching". This is because the former line is pointless due to the existence of the latter line. -Removed Godzilla firing his atomic breath from underwater and the characters looking out and saying "It's Godzilla!" because it's pointless for Godzilla to be firing his atomic breath at that moment as there is nothing to be firing at. -Shortened a lot of Takuya and Andoh's fight to make it not drag out and be less cheesy. -Cut "Oh no, they're getting pissed off!" line when Godzilla and Battra start fighting at sea. -Cut a couple awkward looking moments when Godzilla fights Battra larva where it looks like they are hugging each other. -Cut Takuya's "We better get out of here quicky!" line. -Cut some shots of the main cast reacting to the underwater volcano. Why are they reacting? It's underwater, it's not going to hurt them. -Cut the part during the Marutomo company meeting where the president was talking about getting a dollhouse for the Cosmos to live in. -Cut all of the nonsensical, contradictory stuff about the environment during Masako and Takuya's conversation at the airport (no, Masako, the Cosmos didn't come to try and protect the environment, they came because you were taking the Mothra egg with you). Now Masako is just rushing because she's concerned that Mothra will come to Japan to save the Cosmos. -The conversation with Masako and the two environmental planning board leaders now end's with "How selfish of them!" instead of more environment jibber jabber. -Cut one of the environmental planning board leaders telling another one to look at the screen. -Cut all of the shots where it's very clear Mothra larva is on wheels during her Tokyo rampage (which is basically all of the shots where you're looking at her from the front). -Cut the part where one of the environmental planning board leaders says "Mothra" and Akira Takarada's character nods, because the line delivery is bad and it doesn't make sense for them to suddenly like a monster that just caused a ton of destruction. -Cut both the Cosmos and the environmental planning board leaders reaction to Mothra getting fired at. They are both very cringey and unnecessary. -Cut Midori saying "It looks like Mothra's dying" because she asks the Cosmos whether Mothra is dying or not later. -Removed Takuya saying "Where is it going?" when Mothra heads for the Diet building. -Removed the "No, not the capital building!" line. -Cut the part where the professor saves a woman and child on his way to Mt. Fuji. The scene is pointless and it doesn't make sense why a mom and her daughter would be near an active volcano. -Cut the part where the environmental planning board leader was on the phone, surprised that Godzilla's back. Godzilla was just on the monitor! Everybody already knows he's back! -Deleted the line "General, Godziller is back!" because the line delivery is terrible. -Cut Midori saying "Mommy, hey look!". -Cut Midori's "Nice!" line after Mothra emerges from her cocoon. -Sped up some of the shots of Mothra flying to make it look more realistic. -Cut the line "Oh no, what could possibly stop them both?!" -Cut all of the atrocious looking effects shots when Mothra and Battra fight, especially the part where they ram into eachother. -Cut Miki saying "Godzilla!" after a building gets toppled onto Godzilla. Why is she concerned about his life? She doesn't feel empathy for Godzilla until Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II. It doesn't make sense and I think it was probably just there for the trailer. -Cut Masako saying "Look there, it's Mothra!". -Cut the part where Takuya and Masako tell Mothra and Battra that Godzilla is coming and to get away. -Cut Midori saying "Battra, thanks for saving Mothra!". -Cut the Cosmos saying "Battra saved Mothra, they're friends now". -Cut Takuya saying "That's good", as the tone of his voice and the line itself makes no sense in the context given. -Cut Miki saying "Godzilla!" again as he is being electrocuted by Mothra and Battra. -Cut the environmental planning board leader saying "Ah! They won!". -Cut out the part where the environmental planning board leaders talk about Battra and Mothra communicating. It's just stating the obvious. I think the audience is smart enough to put two-and-two together. -Cut the line "Don't give up, Battra" when Godzilla starts biting Battra. -Cut "You've got him!" and "You can do it!". -Cut out the part where Takuya, Masako, and Midori celebrate for the second time after Mothra and Battra successfully pick up Godzilla, when Takuya picks up his daughter. -Trimmed Akira Takarada's character's line when he asks the Cosmos why Mothra would make such a sacrifice for them by removing the "That's something I'd really like to know" part. -Cut Miki's "A promise?... of course!" line. -Added the end credits back (because TriStar tended to cut the credits for these movies). It's simple but it does it's job.
