*POTA01: Planet of the Apes (1968)
8.0 Rating 112 min An astronaut crew crash-lands on a planet where highly intelligent non-human ape species are dominant and humans are enslaved. A U.S. Spaceship lands on a desolate planet stranding astronaut Taylor in a world dominated by apes 2000 years into the future, who use a primitive race of humans for experimentation and sport. Soon Taylor finds himself among the hunted, his life in the hands of a benevolent chimpanzee scientist. In the film, an astronaut crew crash-lands on a strange planet in the distant future. Although the planet appears desolate at first, the surviving crew members stumble upon a society in which apes have evolved into creatures with human-like intelligence and speech. The apes have assumed the role of the dominant species and humans are mute creatures wearing animal skins.

In June 2022, it was reported that Disney and 20th Century planned for Kingdom to be the first of a new trilogy of Planet of the Apes films.
